Carex comans ‘Frosted curls’, called Sedge, is a small hairy evergreen with narrow hanging grey-green leaves and a curl at the end of the leaf. The leaves look like a wild hair! This species flowers from June to July with inconspicuous brown inflorescences. This grass prefers a sunny to semi-shaded spot in the garden in well-drained soil. The plant is reasonably drought tolerant and can also tolerate sea breezes and air pollution.
