Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Pink Lemonade’®

The pot and the label are made of recycled plastic and are therefore a clean solution for the environment. Vaccinium Pink Lemonade’ is a special blackberry variety with pink coloured berries. The shrub has fine pointed green leaves. In autumn the leaves change to bright orange, a feast for the eyes. The flowers that appear around May are also beautiful, white-pink in colour and bell-shaped. The fruits are light green at first and turn a deep pink when ripe. You can pick them between July and August. Pick the berries in time, if you pick too early the berry will not taste good and if you pick too late the berry will not keep for a long time. They can be kept for a week in the fridge. The berries have a firm and pleasant structure and taste deliciously sweet. It is a healthy berry with many antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Blueberries like to stand in the sun in moist, acid soil with a preference for sandy and peaty soil. Cut back overhanging branches in early spring.
