Rubus idaeus ‘Golden Everest’

‘Rubus Idaeus Golden Everest’ is a special autumn raspberry, as the fruits are yellow in colour. They taste somewhat softer and sweeter than the familiar pink raspberries. Later in the summer the shrub blossoms with inconspicuous, small white-pink flowers. You can therefore enjoy the fruit until early autumn. The flowers are pollinated by bees and bumblebees, so you only need one plant to get fruit. The raspberry prefers full sun. The more sun, the tastier the fruit. They are especially tasty when eaten straight from the bush, as this soft fruit does not keep as long. The fruits are very healthy, they are full of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. After the harvest, it is wise to remove the branches that have borne fruit so that new young branches can grow in the new year.
