Ophiopogon Japonicus ‘Silver Mist’, also known as snakebeard, is a low-growing ornamental grass that grows to about 20 centimetres. Most striking is the grass-like striped leaf in a white-green colour. A great advantage of this plant is that it retains its leaves throughout the year and can also be used as a ground cover. The ornamental grass flowers in July and August with pretty small white-pink flowers, which then turn into blue-grey berries. Ophiopogon Planiscapus’ grows and flowers well in full sun or semi shade and is hardy.
