A very special Clematis that flowers throughout the summer. From May to September you can enjoy its large lilac umbels. The Clematis provides an oasis of flowers already in the first year. Unlike most Clematis species that flower for one to two months, ‘Samaritan Jo’ can be enjoyed for up to five months. On a pergola or climbing frame, ‘Samaritan Jo’ will grow to a maximum height of 180 cm. This clematis prefers a spot in the (semi-) full sun. The most ideal location is in the morning and/or evening sun. Because ‘Samaritan Jo’ is a compact variety, it can also be placed in a pot on a balcony, terrace or even in a hanging basket. In order for the Clematis to climb better, it needs a little help. It is best to guide the plant up along a rack, wire or stick. Pruning is not necessary. However, remove dead and damaged twigs in early March. You can prune this Clematis in the spring to a maximum height of 20 centimetres above the ground.
