Agapanthus Poppin’ Purple has fantastic purple flowers and produces surprisingly large flower stems. These large purple umbels have several trumpet-shaped flowers that stand high on a stem. The flowers of the Agapanthus contain a lot of nectar and are therefore often visited by butterflies, bees and even birds. The Agapanthus has a long flowering period with good reblooming so that you can enjoy the intense purple flowers for a long time. This Agapanthus grows faster than other varieties and reaches a height of approximately 60 cm. The Agapanthus is a sun lover, so likes to stand in the sun in well-drained soil. It is a great plant for the perennial border or in a pot on the terrace or balcony. The plant does not need pruning, only leaves that have turned yellow can be cut off. After flowering, you can remove the remaining flower stalks. The plant is hardy to -12 degrees and can easily survive the winter in the Netherlands.
