Der &#8218;Yakushima Dwarf&#8216; bleibt etwas niedriger als die meisten &#8218;Miscanthus&#8216;-Arten. Die H\u00f6he dieser Pflanze liegt zwischen 80 und 100 cm. Er hat ein schmales graugr\u00fcnes Blatt mit einer wei\u00dfen Mittelader. Dieses sch\u00f6ne Schilf bl\u00fcht im August und September mit beige-wei\u00dfen Rispen, die sich sp\u00e4ter hellbraun verf\u00e4rben. Die Federn erheben sich anmutig \u00fcber die Bl\u00e4tter und verleihen Ihrem Garten das gewisse Etwas. Sie bevorzugt einen sonnigen Standort in gut durchl\u00e4ssigem Boden. Lassen Sie die Bl\u00e4tter und St\u00e4ngel im Winter dran und schneiden Sie sie erst im zeitigen Fr\u00fchjahr zur\u00fcck. Der R\u00fcckschnitt kann bis zu 10 cm \u00fcber dem Boden erfolgen.
